Glance at the sun.
See the moon and the stars.
Gaze at the beauty of earth's greenings.
Now, think.

Group Locations

For our locations of our letters, our group has narrowed down our top location ideas to doorways, the entrance of the Campanile, a stairway, parking spaces, or an elevator. In class we will all bring our construction studies and location ideas, like the one I posted yesterday, and we will pick our final location as well as type face. I am excited to start constructing our final letters tomorrow!

I hope to post my final typography studies for the word “squeeze” soon. I am slowly becoming happier with the results, but the critique in class tomorrow should lead me further on the right path.

Squeeze Colors

After being sick, I am finally getting better and back on top of my designs. Last night I worked a lot on my fifteen compositions. It was interesting to see all of the designs in lecture and inspired me to really get my designs going. Today, I am happy with some of my designs and others I need to start over on. Of the three designs I chose, I think I will not use my third option, and instead choose a different original design. The critique I got for my squares led me in this direction as well. I think that I have a good start but still a long way to go before I am really happy with the final squares.
